La belle France …returns to center stage with a little help from our friends.
When my friend in Paris says that he loves the food there, people listen. A lot of people listen. Like all of you reading this x 1000 and… the Washington Post!

David Lebovitz, that hipster sweet fool of a pastry chef, grabs our attention with his unctuous, chocolatey voice and wry bread, open sesame posts. No, I am not jealous of the success of his books, his web fame, even his miniscule Parisian apartment.
Because what I love best about David’s Sweet Life is that he sees France for what she is, a beautiful country- warts and all. Julia Child knew it and Alice Waters knows it in French, too. And now lots of virtual travelers will know it better from these well-watched large and small screens. Here in the Kitchen-at-Camont, we share this at our tables everyday.
While the focus subtly shifts from starred restaurant and rock star chefs to butchers, farmers and other artisan food producers, I am smiling at the subtle shift to seeing France for what she is- a living, breathing year-round farmer’s market where food is celebrated everyday at kitchen tables and cafe zincs. Bravo David! Brava France!

Glad you like it, and I love your new website! Felicitations!
